You’ll contribute to a commercial vehicle training simulation platform running on multi-display simulators and integrated with our learning management system. The majority of this role is focused on backend and application systems: data, networking, and services. You’ll also contribute across the application in areas such as UI, tooling, and scenario development. This is a hands-on, in-person role where you’ll collaborate daily with a tight-knit dev team shipping training technology to real customers.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nBuild and maintain backend and application systems in Unity, including session management, scenario logic, data persistence, and networked features\nSupport multiplayer and instance synchronization across simulators\nConsume and contribute to APIs connecting the simulation to our web platform and cloud services\nContribute across the Unity application as needed, including UI, editor tooling, scenario scripting, and bug fixing\nWrite clean, maintainable C# that conforms to the existing architecture\nCollaborate with the rendering and physics developers to integrate their systems into the application\nParticipate in team meetings, sprint planning, and code reviews\nContribute to documentation and help establish engineering standards for the platform\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS & TECHNOLOGIES\n\nC# programming, with a solid grasp of OOP, collections, and async/await\nUnity fundamentals: MonoBehaviours, ScriptableObjects, scene management, and the Unity lifecycle\nExperience building at least one complete project in Unity (personal, academic, or professional)\nBasic understanding of REST APIs and JSON\nVersion control experience (Git or Plastic SCM) and the ability to adopt our branching and review workflow\nStrong debugging and problem-solving skills\nAbility to communicate technical decisions clearly to the rest of the team\n\nPREFERRED SKILLS\n\n.NET experience, such as ASP.NET Core, Web API, or Entity Framework\nBasic SQL and data modeling\nExposure to multiplayer or networking in Unity (Netcode, Mirror, Photon, or similar)\nFamiliarity with unit testing (NUnit, Unity Test Framework)\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS\n\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\n\nSomeone with strong technical fundamentals and the discipline to build on them\nAble to move between backend logic, UI, and tooling work as project needs change\nReads existing code and architecture before writing new systems\nCan articulate why a system works, not just that it does\nReliable and accountable, with consistent effort and attitude in the workplace\nWorks well both independently and within a team\n\nNICE TO HAVE\n\nBackground in simulation, learning management systems, or industrial software\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and multi-platform builds\nExperience with WebGL builds or browser-to-backend communication\nA portfolio, GitHub profile, or shipped projects demonstrating your work\nAn interest in the application of emerging AI technology\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThis is a full-time, in-person position.
