To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\nEngineering\nDevelop and maintain 3D Geologic Models of assigned permits using planning software\nCoordinate mine surveying and other Engineering activity\nDevelopment of surface mine plans and refinement of surface mining methods and operating procedures\nEvaluate new sites being considered for acquisition or development\nPerform mine surveying\nDevelop detailed mine plans for existing operations and potential reserve areas\nDevelop and design drainage control plans and mine waste disposal areas\nPrepare, organize and direct detailed project engineering and evaluation\nProvide engineering support for coal preparation plant\nWill provide direction to surveyors and AutoCAD professionals\nCoordinates completion of permit applications and designs, including regulatory interface, site expansion, modification or changes to the operating plans, and other related data.\nPrepares notifications/responses to regulatory inspections, administrative warnings.\nAssists Landfill Site Manager with development of fill sequencing plans.\nRegularly supervises Environmental Technicians and Specialists, including responsibility for hiring, training, mentoring, developing, scheduling, directing, managing performance and other related issues; review the work of, and is accountable for the performance of Environmental Technicians and Specialists.\nCompletes monthly soil tracking reports and other status reports.\nEnsures continued compliance by coordinating air, water monitoring, environmental data review and reporting.\nAnalyze reports, drawings, blueprints, tests & related documentation to plan and design projects\nWork with operations personnel in the development of landfill and mine engineering plans\nDevelop short- and long-range mine plans, mine design and work with operations to address immediate issues not anticipated by the plan\nRevise plans as needed from reviews or other site conditions that arise\nDesign Production\nDevelop production improvement projects\nWork with Operations to maximize production needs with planning\nRecommend continuous improvements to operations and plans\nMonitor cut and fill rates with operations on an on-going basis\nPerform quality and quantity control and reporting for material production\nDefine proper mining methods, equipment, mine site facilities, operating costs and manpower\nDetermine the most appropriate use of mining methodologies for best mine performance\nBudgets\nAbility to work with Operations to produce mine budgets and forecast\nFacilitate cost reductions\nEstablish working budgets and accounting for each project\nDust control/air quality\nAbility to address environmentally sensitive situations\nMaintain knowledge of regulations and procedures related to water discharges\nGeneral\nMaintain knowledge of regulations and procedures pertinent to mine planning and permitting\nInterface with regulatory personnel as required\nLand development, site design, storm water management, erosion/sediment control and environmental permitting Lead and participate in projects focused on productivity and maximize company efficiency.\n\nAbout Kimble:\nKimble Company is locally owned and operated by the Kimble Family, with over 70 years of experience in the energy, materials, recycling, and solid waste industries.
