The responsibilities include but are not limited to, understanding elevation changes and making informed decisions on depths to drill at to avoid hitting underground utilities.We offer great benefits including:Paid weeklyHealth, Dental & Vision InsuranceVacation PayHoliday PayLife, Accident, and Short-Term Disability InsurancePaid sick leave in accordance with applicable state or municipal laws What will you do:Operate the drill rig efficiently and safelyNavigate drill head to avoid utilities and maintain correct depthsInspect and fuel vehicles before shiftsLearn and independently operate facility equipmentUse all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)Stay updated on industry technological advancementsCommunicate effectively to resolve issuesSupport team efforts and uphold GridSource's mission and valuesMaintain a positive work environment and build professional relationshipsIdentify and implement process improvementsFollow GridSource policies and proceduresWhat you will need:Valid CDL requiredRead, interpret, and update construction prints and as-builtSupervise and manage technician crewsExperience setting poles, hanging aerial cable, and completing pole attachmentsMinimum 5 years of experience in underground telecom/broadband constructionPrior broadband industry experience requiredAbility to operate heavy equipment and lead crews effectivelyStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsKnowledge of construction practices, NEC, OSHA regulations, and safety standardsHigh school diploma or GED required; college, vocational training, and NCTI/SCTE or similar certifications preferredPhysically able to lift up to 95 lbs., climb a 32-foot ladder, and work in loud, outdoor environments year-roundWillingness to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed GridSource is a proud supporter of our U.S. military, veterans, and their families.
