We are currently seeking a professional, energetic and creative individual with a passion for cool technology to provide installation and technical training services for a #1 selling line of 3D printers and other digital fabrication equipment.The Responsibilities Install, set-up and provide training to customers on new equipment at high schools, colleges and universitiesProvide post-sales technical support for new customersWork with marketing team to assist in developing applications and use cases for various makerspace equipmentConduct technical sales seminars, workshops, training sessions and presentationsSupport outside sales representatives for machine demonstrations or other sales-related activitiesThe Requirements Excellent presentation skills with professional demeanorGood problem-solving skills with an electro-mechanical aptitudePrevious teaching experience or other work in a fab lab or makerspaceUnderstand how to operate/repair 3D printers, laser engravers, CNC machines, 3D scanners, etc.High-fluency in CAD/CAM software such as Solidworks or Fusion 360. Experience with Corel or other 3/2D design software a plusGood verbal, communication, presentation and phone skills along with a customer-service-oriented and caring attitudeHigh-level of proficiency with computers, basic networking and MS OfficeHave the ability to work independently from a home office and travel anywhere in New EnglandHave the strength and fitness to work with heavy loadsNot intimidated by technology and willing to put in the time to learn something newAdditionally, the ideal candidate will reside in the North Shore-Metro Boston area for convenient, occasional travel to our Essex, MA office. However, extensive travel (mostly day trips) will be required to other points throughout New England.
