Job Title: Front Desk + Spray Tan Tech | $10.50/hr Base + Monthly Bonuses (Avg $12.50–$18/hr) Company: Salon Tropics – Sun Spray Spa (Baton Rouge, LA) About the Role: Salon Tropics is hiring a part-time Tanning Consultant to join our Sunshine Squad. Base pay starts at $10.50/hour, with monthly bonuses of 5–15% based on individual sales performance. In January, staff earned between $11.22–$18.47/hour total pay, including bonuses. (Busy season earnings? Even better. This was just January.) This is a part-time position (18–30 hours/week) with promotion potential after 90 days. Once trained, additional responsibilities — like custom spray tans and tip-eligible services — become available. What You’ll Do: Greet and assist guests in a professional, welcoming manner Recommend tanning, skincare, and spa services tailored to clients' needs Operate UV tanning and spray tan equipment (training provided) Maintain salon cleanliness and organize product displays Upsell memberships and retail products Help deliver a high-end, confident guest experience Compensation & Perks: $10.50/hour base pay Monthly bonuses based on individual sales (5–15%) Total average pay: $12.50–$18.00+/hour Promotion eligibility after 90 days (includes spray tan certification + tips) Paid training (online and in-person) Product discounts Free UV and spa access (after sales benchmarks are met) Flexible scheduling after training is complete Shifts Typically Fall Within: Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM–3:00 PM or 2:00 PM–9:30 PM Saturday: 8:30 AM–5:30 PM Sunday: 9:30 AM–5:30 PM Must be available Monday + Friday nights and some weekends.
