Ensure all shipments are properly stored in the warehouse. Pick orders from warehouse inventory as directed by customer.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nLoading / unloading truck / trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carrier equipment.\nPicking and moving from 1 lb to 50 lbs or more multiple times.\nEnsure all documentation is properly completed.\nCoordinate with dispatch and sales to resolve any discrepancies.\nProper storing of all inbound loads in the correct warehouse location.\nEnsure all shipments are properly marked before storing / picking.\nMaintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.\nSpotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment into warehouse.\nCoordinate paperwork with drivers after normal dispatch operations are finished for the day.\nGeneral maintenance of are surrounding warehouse.\nEnsure trailers are swept clean of any debris when empty.\nEnsure all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.\nProcess outbound freight cross-dock freight as necessary.\nAbility to operate Stand-up Reach Forklifts, Cherry Pickers, and some sit-down forklift work.\nFollow all safety procedures at all times.\nMust be able to build pallets and break down stock.\nAbility to work in a fast paced warehouse.\nOther tasks as assigned by manager.\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nMust know how to operate a Forklift, Cherry Picker, and Stand-up Reach Forklift.\nGood communication, problem resolution and people skills.\nAbility to maintain orderly operation of warehouse.\nQualifications:\n1 year Fork Lift driving experience.\nCertified Fork Lift License.\nEducation and/or Experience Required:\nHigh School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred.\nLanguage Skills Sets:\nMust be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.\nMathematical Skills:\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.\nReasoning Ability:\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to determine \"root cause\" of problem and determine corrective action.\nComputer Skills:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.\nPhysical Demands:\nMust be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\nMust be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.\nMust be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.\nRegularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.\nFrequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk.\nMust be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.\nMust be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.\nMust have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.\nMust be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.\nMust be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.\nWork Environment:\nWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles.
