We are looking for a Navy Engineering Project Manager in Hampton Roads, Virginia to support the Fleet. The position will visit military and commercial ships, shipyards and suppliers primarily in the Norfolk, Virginia area with some travel to support several product lines focused on Navy engineering functions as well as work to identify shipboard challenges and develop solutions to those problems.\nCandidates with US Navy engineering experience are preferred. Background and reference checks will be conducted, and ethics is a part of annual performance appraisals.\nPlease note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position is not open to foreign nationals or non-US citizens.\nEssential Job Responsibilities:\nProvide subject matter expertise in the areas of Navy Engineering and Maintenance for Defense opportunities\nRead and evaluate Naval blueprints and drawings\nDevelops business relationships, facilitates proposal development, manages resources, coordinates detailed documentation\nProvide cross-departmental coordination on large scale projects and opportunities\nProactively identifies and pursues qualified business opportunities through market research, RFI/RFQ response, networking, and prospecting\nManages new customer relationships and maintains consistent customer service while transitioning new business to project managers\n25% travel required\nQualifications:\n20+ years of Military Experience in Navy Engineering\nKnowledge of Navy/Maritime fluid transfer and high pressure air systems\nOperational knowledge of and practical use of the Microsoft Office Suite, preferably MS word and Excel\nFamiliarization with the development of White Papers and/or Military Technical writing techniques.\nA Valid Drivers’ license.\nAbility to gain access to and drive aboard Federal Government /Military Installations.\nAbility to lift 40 pounds.\nIn addition to what's listed in Indeed:\nPaid Federal Holidays\nITL Solutions has a fantastic and hardworking team.
