For additional information on SMS, visit www.sms.com.\r\nSubmit your resume today!\r\nResponsibilities\r\nManage local and remote web servers; coordinate the mirroring of remote webs with a central mirrored site.\r\nDevelop web pages and middleware applications using all versions of Hypertext Markup Language, and other server and client-side languages.\r\nOptimize new and existing code for WAN performance.\r\nIntegrate graphics, charts, and custom art into web sites to provide maximum impact of content delivery.\r\nApply AFI and DOD guidance on web development and ensure compliance.\r\nDevelop and maintain concept of operations for web policy and implementation.\r\nDevelop and manage training on materials, web pages, programming languages and third-party web applications used to support local and deployed internet and intranet web pages, including classroom, and seminar training.\r\nManage work and project tasks of other web development contractors.\r\nReview technical project documentation for final draft coordination and subsequent release.\r\nAssist personnel with project documentation and web site development as needed.\r\nCoordinate technical visits.\r\nDevelop content to ensure web access is optimal for use on wide area network with low bandwidth and high latency.\r\nProvide web site utilization reports.\r\nProvide training support on web page development, content development, and maintenance.\r\nDevelop procedures and best practice documents to be used by other web developers.\r\nBrief local and deployed web developers on standard practices.\r\nMaintain web servers to include backups, disaster recovery, installation, troubleshooting, and data transfer. Perform daily web server log review and comply with all security alerts.\r\nUse security toolset to determine web server security weaknesses and shortfalls.
