Dynamic combines local expertise with the resources and capabilities of a growing national organization.\n\nFounded on the belief that a strong culture drives exceptional performance, we remain committed to fostering collaboration, accountability, innovation, and professional growth while providing employees with meaningful opportunities to contribute, develop, and make an impact.\n\nPosition Summary:\n\nThe Dynamic Intern is responsible for the due diligence investigations as well as preliminary design and engineering analyses of various types of retail, commercial, industrial and residential site layouts throughout regions where we do business.\n\nResponsibilities:\nReview municipal zoning and land development ordinances and applicable agency regulations to determine land development limitations for the property\nPrepare Site Investigation and Due Diligence Reports to include the review of ordinances, utility service research, outside agency regulations and site visits to establish comprehensive development guidelines\nPrepare Conceptual Site Plans\nPrepare preliminary Grading Plans and Design\nDesign of Stormwater Management and Stormwater Conveyance Systems, Utility Systems and Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Design Plans\nPrepare technical reports including drainage, sanitary sewer and site investigation reports\nPrepare written correspondence to outside agencies, client, attorney, contractor, etc.\nPerform other duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nPursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering at a College/University, or pursuing a degree in a related field with relevance to Civil Engineering\n0-2 years’ experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential and/or commercial/industrial/office site design and permitting experience)\nValid driver’s license, valid personal insurance, & a personal vehicle to travel to various sites during a given work day (not the company will reimburse you for the miles traveled for the company)\nAbility to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle\nKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:\nFamiliar with the use of AutoCAD to assist in the production of site plan drawings\nGeneral knowledge of Hydraulic and Stormwater Design Programs\nDesign and drafting capabilities\nGrading and drainage design skills\nGeneral knowledge of the available mapping websites for due diligence and site investigation purposes\nGeneral knowledge of the following design tools for site engineering:\nHydrology Software i.e. Hydraflow, HydroCAD, PondPack\nAutoCAD Civil 3D\nHydraulic Software i.e. Hydraflow, StormCAD, Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA)\nHEC-RAS\nGravity Flow – Hydraulic Analysis, Manning’s Equation\nProficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project\nGeneral knowledge of Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe to prepare design document markups\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\nIndependent and critical thinking abilities\nSelf-starter who can work independently and with team members\nWhy Join Dynamic?:\n\nAt Dynamic, we believe great careers are built through meaningful work, continuous growth, and strong relationships.
