Men's Client Resource Specialist

We get to experience radical life transformations.The Client Resource Specialist plays a critical role in supporting men as they transition into Atlanta Mission’s long-term transformation program at The Shepherd’s Inn. This position focuses on removing practical and systemic barriers to stability and employment by providing individualized case management, resource coordination, and client advocacy within a Christ-centered environment. Support begins at program entry through background checks and job readiness assessments and continues throughout a client’s stay. The Client Resource Specialist works closely with clients to address challenges related to employability, identification, legal barriers, financial assistance, and access to community resources. This role also includes teaching life skills, facilitating groups, utilizing motivational interviewing, and offering spiritual encouragement as part of a holistic care model. This position is ideal for a human or social services professional who enjoys direct client engagement and case management but is not pursuing a licensed social work career path.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesClient Assessment & Case ManagementConducts client assessments, including background checks and job-readiness evaluations, to identify barriers and needed servicesUtilizes assessments to recommend personalized services that support employability, stability, and long-term outcomesManages a high-volume caseload (approximately 70–90 clients), providing consistent follow-up and accountabilityLeads services addressing client case management needs throughout their program journeyEmployment & Resource SupportSupports clients in resolving background check issues that may impact employment, including coordination with legal partners such as Georgia Justice ProjectAssists clients in obtaining required identification documents for employment (state ID, Social Security cards, etc.)Connects clients with internal and external resources including vocational training, housing, legal services, healthcare, and financial assistanceProvides job-search support following vocational training, such as resume workshops, job application assistance, and group office hoursCommunity Partnerships & AdvocacyBuilds and maintains relationships with community partners to secure resources that meet client needsResearches and identifies new service partners to address gaps in client careServes as a liaison between clients, community agencies, and government entitiesGroups, Education & EngagementFacilitates groups and classes focused on independent living, financial literacy, social skills, recovery support, and psycho-educationUtilizes motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client engagement, personal responsibility, and positive behavior changeProvides adjustment support during life transitions and consults during crisis situationsTeam Collaboration & DocumentationCoordinates closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic, client-centered careInputs, tracks, and reports client engagement and outcome data with accuracy and integrityRemains current on available community resources and referral processesSpiritual SupportOffers spiritual encouragement and support consistent with Atlanta Mission’s Christ-centered values and environmentQualificationsYou will uphold the following Christ-centered values:Humbly Serve: You strive to live, Love and Lead like JesusFaithfully Steward: You honor and wisely use the time, talent and treasures that God has providedCourageously Innovate: You are driven towards excellence, you continuously learn, adapt and improveJoyfully celebrate: You intentionally appreciate and recognize all that God is doing in and through all the stakeholders of Atlanta Mission.Strength in Unity: You embrace God’s desire for oneness and kingdom-focused unity.Position RequirementsExperience in case management, client advocacy, or human/social servicesDemonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectivelyCrisis intervention experienceProven ability to work as a self-starter with strong organization, time management, and follow- throughAbility to work cross-functionally and collaboratively within a team environmentStrong relational skills with the ability to influence and motivate individuals toward positive changeComfort working with vulnerable populations in a residential shelter settingPhysical RequirementsMust have the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing, walking and sitting)Must have the ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, calculator and computer printerMust be able to communicate accurate informationMust be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 10lbsEnvironmental Job RequirementsOccasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions during eventsModerate noise as in a business office environmentLower exposure to communicable disease as described by OSHAEmployee BenefitsWhat we Have to Offer You & Your FamilyRetirement Savings with Matching ContributionMedical InsuranceDental & Vision InsuranceEmployer Paid Benefits10 Paid Holidays4 Mental Health DaysLife InsuranceShort-Term DisabilityTravel Assistance ProgramEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Medical ConciergeSpiritual & Professional Training & Development
