Working under the guidance of senior engineers and other project managers, the Projects Engineer helps ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget utilizing project engineering practices. This role offers hands‑on experience with project methodologies, Front-End Loading (FEL), and regulatory requirements in an OSHA PSM and EPA RMP environment.\n\nProject Engineer Essential Job Functions:\n\nAssist in developing and executing capital and expense project scopes, estimates, schedules, and engineering deliverables under the guidance of senior engineers.\nSupport application of FEL methodologies by collecting data, evaluating alternatives, and documenting risks and assumptions.\nHelp coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, and contractors to support safe and efficient project execution.\nParticipate in tracking project progress, risks, and performance metrics and assist in preparing updates for project leadership.\nContribute to technical reviews, hazard analyses, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement efforts with mentorship.\nSupport construction, commissioning, turnover activities, and maintain proper documentation including management of change (MOC) requirements.\nProject Engineer Minimum Requirements:\n\nBachelor's Degree* in Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Civil preferred\n\n3+ years of experience in project engineering related roles; Chemical manufacturing or related industry experience required\n\n Basic understanding of project management principles, engineering designs, and industrial safety practices.\n Basic knowledge of stage‑gate processes, earned value management, and project controls best practices, preferred\n\nExcellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.\n\n Ability to support multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.\n\nMust be flexible during off hours to support plant operations\n\nMust be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license\n\nAn All-In Investment in Your Future\nAs a global leader in both chemical manufacturing and ammunition, Olin empowers over 8,000 individuals to make an impact both at work and in our surrounding communities.
