Job Title: Shop ManagerJob DescriptionReports To: Operations Manager Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the welding and maintenance shop. Ensure all welding and maintenance processes meet project requirements and industry standards. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion. Team Leadership: Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate shop employees. Assign tasks and monitor the progress of welding and maintenance projects. Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all staff adhere to safety standards, company policies, and procedures. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures. Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control measures. Perform inspections and coordinate non-destructive testing (NDT) as needed. Address any quality issues promptly and effectively. Resource Management: Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials. Optimize resource utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions. Promote continuous improvement practices to enhance productivity and quality.
