The role supports modernization of a Student Information System for a large public school district. The developer will work as a technical expert across multiple platforms, designing and delivering enterprise-grade application and custom integration solutions, contributing to long-term IT strategy, and mentoring more junior technical staff. The work spans the full lifecycle of custom software development with a strong DevOps orientation.Job duties include, but are not limited to:Provide design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategyDevelop enterprise-level application and custom integration solutions, including major enhancements, interfaces, functions, and featuresUse a variety of platforms to deliver automated systems applications to internal customersProvide expertise on integration of applications across the businessDetermine specifications, then plan, design, and develop the most complex and business-critical software solutionsAssist with the most difficult support problems and triageDevelop programming and development standards, procedures, and architectures for code reuseApply in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art programming languages and object-oriented approachesResearch and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and their potential application to the businessAct as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent across technical disciplinesCompensation and TermThis opportunity is for a full-time position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $150,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.Candidates are expected to work onsite at our client's location.Qualifications You NeedA successful candidate possesses or provides the following:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's Degree preferred. Equivalent work experience consideredTypically 7 to 10 years of IT and business/industry work experienceKnowledge of DevOps environments and deployment workflowsHands-on experience with Angular, C#, SQL databases, Python, and API developmentExperience in mobile development for Android and Apple platformsDemonstrated ability to translate highly complex technical concepts for peers and customersExperience coaching and mentoring more junior technical staffExperience working on highly complex projects that span multiple technical areas and business segmentsWorking with usWorking with TECKpert means more options.
