In this role, you will be supporting and potentially leading operational efforts throughout the entire development cycle. You will be responsible for setting up and managing the development environment, configuring and maintaining cloud services (with a strong emphasis on AWS), and managing CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) baseline management. The ideal candidate will have experience working with software development teams, maintaining compliance and security controls, monitoring operations, and improving development processes when needed. You must be highly organized and proficient in Agile and DevSecOps principles. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.\nWork Environment & Clearance Requirements:\nLocation: Near SCIF (Hybrid)\nClearance Requirements: Active Secret clearance, able to obtain TS\nCertification Requirements: 8570 Level II Compliance (Security + or equivalent certification)\nWHAT YOU WILL DO:\nSupport and potentially lead operational efforts throughout the development cycle.\nSet up, configure, and manage AWS resources including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, EKS/Kubernetes, and related services.\nManage CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) baseline management.\nMaintain compliance and security controls across systems.\nMonitor operations and implement improvements to processes.\nProvide change management documentation.\nCollaborate with Agile teams using Scrum and Kanban methodologies.\nSupport government programs in NIPR environments (SIPR experience a plus).\nWHAT WE REQUIRE:\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMidlevel experience with AWS, including provisioning and managing cloud resources.\nExperience with commercial or private cloud service providers.\nProficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (CloudFormation, Terraform).\nExperience deploying and maintaining highly available, faulttolerant AWS systems.\nFamiliarity with Linux (Redhat or CentOS preferred).\nWorking understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nFamiliarity with monitoring, incident response, and Atlassian Jira/Confluence.\nExperience with change management documentation.\nExperience installing and maintaining government programs in SIPR and NIPR environments.\nDesired Skills:\nAdvanced knowledge of AWS services and architectures (VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).\nKnowledge of containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift).\nScripting experience with Bash, Python, Golang, or similar languages.\nExperience securing ServiceOriented Architectures (SOA) and AWS environments.\nExceptional technical writing and documentation skills.\nFamiliarity with database queries and SQL.\nUnderstanding of Appian BPM Platform.\nExperience with DoD private cloud services (e.g., Air Force CloudOne).\nEducation:\n5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline, OR\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience.\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement\nHumanIT Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
