We are building a high-performance team committed to quality, safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.\n\nPOSITION OVERVIEW\n\nThe Material Handler / Forklift Driver supports the AESC Blythewood repack operation by ensuring the timely and accurate movement, storage, and delivery of battery materials, components, and finished product throughout the facility. This role operates powered industrial trucks and material handling equipment to support production schedules, inventory accuracy, and shipping and receiving functions. The Material Handler / Forklift Driver is expected to maintain a high standard of safety and accuracy in all material movement and documentation activities.\n\nSHIFT AVAILABILITY\n\nWe are hiring for both 1st Shift and 2nd Shift. Shift assignment will be discussed during the interview process. Candidates must be available for their assigned shift and willing to support cross-shift coverage as operational needs require.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nOperate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks to move materials, WIP, and finished goods within the facility.\nReceive incoming shipments, verify quantities and condition against purchase orders and packing lists, and document discrepancies.\nStage materials and components at production line points per production schedules and kanban signals.\nTransport outbound finished goods and repacked battery units to designated staging and shipping areas.\nMaintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as assigned.\nOperate within the facility's Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) requirements, maintaining documentation accuracy for all material movements.\nInspect material handling equipment daily and report defects or safety concerns prior to operation.\nMaintain warehouse and storage areas in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.\nSupport shipping and receiving functions including labeling, scanning, and system data entry.\nFollow all safety procedures for handling, transporting, and storing EV battery modules, including required PPE.\nComply with all AESC safety policies and immediately report any safety incidents, near-misses, or property damage.\nQualifications\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\nRequired:\n\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nMinimum 1 year of forklift operation experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.\nValid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire (AESC will provide training).\nAbility to operate sit-down and stand-up counterbalance forklift.\nBasic computer and RF scanner proficiency for inventory and shipping system use.\nAbility to read packing lists, work orders, and inventory labels accurately.\nStrong commitment to safety and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.\n\nPreferred:\n\nExperience in an automotive or advanced manufacturing facility.\nExperience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) or ERP systems.\nKnowledge of FTZ inventory control procedures.\nFamiliarity with 5S and lean manufacturing material flow concepts.\n\nApplication Process\n\nEven if you don't meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply.
