Rooms patients, obtains vital signs and communicates pertinent information to the team. The medical assistant is responsible for maintaining the clinic rooms, ensuring cleanliness and safety.Education QualificationsSuccessfully completed first semester in an accredited nursing program. Required orSuccessfully completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program. Required orA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician may be substituted for the educational requirement.
