The assembler will be responsible for putting together fabricated products and parts of products according to specifications. This role requires the use of hands and power tools along with instrumentation to assemble products, verify quality, and ensure that production goals are met. The position requires good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, focus, and the ability to stand for long periods of time.\nBasic Job Functions:\nAssembling components and ensuring that all parts are fitted correctly\nControl and adjust equipment settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely manner\nAssemble fabricated parts, components, or other units\nAlign materials and assemble parts to build units\nHandle fiberglass/insulation\nWork with various chemicals including adhesives and hardeners\nUse hand and power tools to cut, drill, grind, and fasten materials\nUse simple measurement instruments such as tape measures and scales to verify correct product build specifications\nMaintain a clean and organized work area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations\nGeneral housekeeping duties (sweeping, emptying trash, etc.)\nSupport other departments when work is slow in assembly\nReport on unsafe working conditions\nOccasionally driving forklift\nPerforms related duties as assigned by supervision\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBasic math skills\nRead and understand blueprints\nUse hand and /or power tools\nBasic reading and writing skills\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrevious experience working for a manufacturing company\nHigh school diploma and or equivalent and /or related experience\nAbility to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements\nKnowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing\nBilingual English/Spanish, preferred\nWork Environment:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts. Body movements of walking, twisting, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending, and flexing the arms, legs, wrist, and hands. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and distance vision. Exposure to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
