{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"b508a72641709b24150a4b67","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b508a72641709b24150a4b67","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b508a72641709b24150a4b67","title":"Machine Operator - 3rd shift","description":"POSITION SUMMARY\nTake a roll of fabric and rewind it to remove a problem or break it down into smaller rolls to meet customer quality or quantity requirements.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nRewind large rolls by threading up the machine and running rolls to customers desired lengths.\nRead job specifications to determine machine set up and material requirements\nMake process decisions and ensure product quality conforms with quality audit specifications.\nRead specifications and schedules to prepare for upcoming jobs.\nConduct minor machine maintenance.\nWrap and identify finished rolls of fabric and bundle or palletize if required.\nTag rolls for identification.\nRewind rolls on hold by threading up and running roll to the area of flaw, remove flaw by splicing it if required.\nConduct quality checks on material as required.\nClean up, sweep area around the machine including the main aisle.\nBundle and bail scrap material.\nWear safety shoes and hearing protection at all times.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nExperience as a machine operator\nKnowledge of production procedures\nAnalytical skills\nStrong attention to detail\nTeam player\nAble to work independently\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
