As we continue to grow at a rapid pace, we need some amazing new professionals to join our team.\nABSC is seeking a Secret or TS/SCI-cleared DevOps Engineer to support the NGA Data Modernization Services (DMS) program, based in Herndon or Springfield, VA, St. Louis, MO or Aurora, CO with a flexible schedule. This candidate will be a hands-on engineer with the ability to understand cloud security principles (authentication/authorization, VPC, subnets, VPNs, security gateways, etc.). This candidate will work closely with the product engineering team to implement robust security policies and implementations. This candidate will write complex code and build infrastructure using code, automation of environments, etc. to understand the myriad of cloud services including big data technologies (e.g. AWS Redshift, AWS EMR, AWS RDS, AWS Kinesis, GCP Dataproc, GCP Dataflow etc.).\nClearance Required for this role: Secret with the ability and willingness to obtain TS/SCI; willingness to obtain and maintain counterintelligence (CI) polygraph\nResponsibilities:\nImplement and maintain cloud infrastructure using a combination of core skills such as cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and web services.\nDeploy and manage virtualized environments leveraging premium skills like VMWare and OpenStack.\nUtilize relevant skills such as Docker, AWS, and Kubernetes to optimize system performance and scalability.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.\nMonitor and troubleshoot issues related to IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms.\nContinuously improve processes through automation and adherence to best practices.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent. Will consider years’ experience in lieu of for strong candidates.\nAt least 2 years' demonstrable experience\nExperience with Amazon VPC, ELB, IAM, KMS, EC2, EMR, CloudTrail, Athena, RDS, Glue\nExperience with Google VPC, Subnets, CloudSQL, BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, IAM, APIs & Services\nExperience using automation technology such as Chef, Puppet, Go, Salt, Ansible, Terraform, and Cloud Formation\nExperience with Cloud SDKs for Google and Amazon\nHands-on experience with Java/Go/Python development\nStrong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills\nStrong decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills\nAbility to diagnose and fix a myriad of cloud issues such as networking and connectivity issues\nCloud-based certifications (AWS/Google/Azure) desirable or willing to obtain\nFamiliarity with on-premise and cloud datastores (e.g. Cloudera Impala, Apache Hive, Google BigQuery, AWS Athena etc.).\nDesired Experience:\nExperience supporting and implementing development standards from a security perspective\nAbility to introduce new Cloud Services into an existing infrastructure stack\nMentored junior and mid-level folks on cloud security and best practices\nDeveloped automated security and compliance capabilities in support of DevOps processes in a large-scale AWS/Google cloud computing environment\nSalary is commensurate with experience and the approximate range for this position is: $180k - $225k.
