This position is a part of our Fine Grind facility.\n\nEssential Functions\nWorking in a safe manner which includes wearing required PPE; following all of MSHA and MCC safety policies and reporting any safety issues\nKeeping work area clean, safe and free of hazardous situations\nConduct bagging and preparation of materials\nVerifying that final product is not contaminated and free of foreign particles. Reporting any such deficiency or observations to management and QA department is required\nCommunicating and assisting customers and/or haulers to ascertain that their needs are being met\nConducting daily documented inspection of equipment, confirming that it meets MSHA regulations\nFollowing MSHA's and the company's procedures and best practices\nDaily equipment needs and maintenance; Scheduling and communicating with the mechanics so the equipment will be ready for operation at the scheduled time\nDirecting employees, vendors and contractors on daily tasks/activities that they are assigned to maintain Safety, Quality and efficient Productivity of the operation\nReceiving parts, delivering/storing parts in proper locations on site\nMaking certain the packing slips/paperwork are initialed as received and submitted in a timely fashion\nContinuous communication with the Quality Assurance department to verify the plant is meeting the quality requirements and working with QA towards resolution to correct any issues that might arise\nOperating various pieces of heavy equipment\nPerforming laborer and cleanup duties\nPerforming various maintenance duties\nMay be called upon to assist with other duties not outlined which will be determined by the Management Team\nEducation Qualifications\nRequired High School or Equivalent\nSkills and Abilities\nMust maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance\nFollow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on schedule\nRead, write, and communicate in English & understand basic math\nWorking knowledge of US Aggregates Safety and Operating principles\nComplete all applicable documentation, recordkeeping, and daily inventory\nParticipate in safety briefings, job briefings, and any other pass on information from team members, management, or customer\nMust be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules, as well as take on additional job responsibilities as needed or assigned\nFlexibility required; ability to work days, nights, weekends\nPerform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements\nMust possess and exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently to get things done\nStrong welding, torching, and maintenance skills preferred\nWorking Conditions/Physical Demands\nAbility to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lb.), pull or carry objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions\nMust be able to handle all elements of the weather\nAbility to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions\nAbility to work independently\nAbility to communicate orally and in writing\nAbility to use equipment and tools properly and safely\nAbility to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency\nMust have Valid Driver's License\nMust pass pre-employment drug screening\nAbout US Aggregates\nUS Aggregates is a privately held, family-owned business headquartered in Indianapolis.
