Housekeeping Team LeaderPOSITION REPORTS TO:Houskeeping Manager and/or SupervisorPOSITIONS REPORTING TO THIS POSITION:Room AttendantsPublic Area AttendantsKEY RELATIONSHIPS:Front Office ManagerFront Desk Team LeaderGuest Services AgentsOwners and GuestsPRIMARY OBJECTIVES:At Travel + Leisure our vision is to put the World on Vacation, in your positon as the Housekeeping Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring the department operates within budgets and guidelines and to the standard expected by the Manager.Under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping Team leader participates in the day to day operation of the Housekeeping Department, specifically preparation and quality checking of all apartments and common areas. In addition to this, the Housekeeping Team Leader will assist with cleaning apartments as required.Our Values are the HEART of Travel + Leisure, the beliefs of our global team that define what we recognize as important, meaningful and right:Hospitality – treating everyone like family Engagement – delivering our promise Accountabiuluty – owning our impact Respect – considering others in every interaction Teamwork – succeeding togetherPRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include but not limited to:)Provide exceptional customer service to guests, owners and other staff members at all timesTo assist the Housekeeping Manager with the running of the department to the standard expected by the ManagerMaintain high standards of communication with guests, staff and managementInspection of rooms and common areas on a regular basis.Clean apartments when required, in accordance with standard to ensure cleaning of all guests rooms is satisfactorily completed within allotted timeframe.Responsible for monthly inventory of stock report discrepancies to Housekeeping ManagerEnsure guests requests are exceededKeep accurate records and monitor all requests through Housekeeping, e.g. Lost Property, VIP rooms etcDelegate workload assist with other departments requestsAssist reception with requests when required e.g. cots highchairsMaintains positive relations with other staff and managementMaintain discipline and make recommendations as requiredPrep apartments for cleanersQuality checking of roomsResponsible for a neat, safe workplace for Housekeeping staff and guestsMaintain all Housekeeping related equipment in working orderAble to complete weekly turn cost / turnsAssist with weekly rostersOrder stock to meet par levelsResponsible for the Housekeeping department in the absence of the Housekeeping ManagerMust be dependable and flexible in rosterEmployees must ensure they comply with Travel + Leisure's OH&S Policy, procedures and any reasonable instruction given by Travel + Leisure.Employees must not wilfully place at risk the health and safety of themselves or any other persons in the workplace and to not wilfully or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided for health and safetyDisplay CARE to all internal and external parties. Display innovation through inspiring, creating and improving processes and products. Show integrity in all aspects of the position by doing the right thing, taking responsibility and delivering on the promise. Display leadership values by ensuring effective communication and respecting your peers and managers.
