The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior Material Handling experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package and career advancement opportunities.\n\nSummary of Responsibilities:\nPerform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies\nCounts weight or measures incoming/outgoing items comparing information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other identifying records\nEnsure product meets standards, is not damaged, or there are no shortages and communicates with the shipper to rectify any deficiencies\nOperates equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies require to move or reorganize storage\nResponsible to ensure cargo is secured properly and safely with weight evenly distributed for transport\nDrive company vehicle when necessary\nFills orders and issues materials and supplies per requests, documents transactions appropriately, prepares requisitions and computes costs, keeps records of storeroom inventory\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nValid driver's licence and clean driver's abstract\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks\nAbility to find information, document relevant information, and knowledge of computers\nAbility to retain information and communicate effectively\nAbility to lift up to 23kg (50lbs)\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nValid forklift and overhead crane certificates are an asset\n1-3 years’ experience in a production environment\n\n***Emails regarding next steps will come from Bamboo HR - Please Ensure to check your junk mail when applying for jobs***\n\nCleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
