SDI's focus is always on meeting Customer requirements to ensure that their goals, deliverables, and deadlines are satisfied.\r\nJob Description We are seeking a self-motivated DevOps engineer with demonstrated experience in modern web application architectures involving microservices and cloud platform orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Helm, and Rancher).\r\nThe position will involve software development, continuous integration/delivery, and testing of a web application designed to support DoD mission planning and National Security objectives. The DevOps engineer must be comfortable with Java build processes and tools such as Gradle and Maven. The DevOps engineer must have knowledge in designing and implementing streamlined, cloud-friendly CI/CD pipelines to support a fast-paced delivery schedule. The engineer will need skills to integrate commercial or open source tools to automate processes that improve QA capabilities.\r\nThis is an Agile development environment, working on state-of-the-art algorithms and technology for a DoD customer located in Washington, DC. The developer would attend team meetings, work with engineering teams, documentation teams, and other developers to create solutions.\r\nWe anticipate a hybrid blend of on-site and remote work efforts. SDI personnel are currently able to work remotely from home with a limited amount of time spent at the Customer's Washington, DC site.\r\nQualifications Qualifications\r\nUS Citizenship required for consideration. Must be able to obtain Secret clearance.An existing clearance is a plus.\r\nAble to work independently and with little direct supervision or oversight.\r\nStrong analytical and problem solving skills.\r\nDevOps experiencewith Kubernetes (Rancher and/or OpenShift) and Helm.\r\nExperience with automated build process tools (Jenkins).\r\nKnowledge of Gradle and Maven.\r\nAgile development experience with Sprint and Retrospective experience in a team environment.\r\nExperience with relational databases.\r\nVersion control and Feature/Defect tracking experience with Atlassian Tools - JIRA, Confluence, Struts, etc. All work is tracked and managed in the Atlassian tools.\r\nA Bachelor's Degree, or higher, in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent, is required.\r\nDesired Qualifications\r\nExperience with Spring, and Hibernate.\r\nExperience with PostgreSQL.\r\nExperience with the OpenAPI specification and tools.\r\nSecurity+ certification.\r\nData visualization technologies including mapping.\r\nAbility to handle multiple projects with various priorities and deadlines.\r\nAbility to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.\r\nAdditional Information SDI provides a casual and flexible work environment with excellent benefits including a generous holiday and leave package, health and dental medical coverage, S-IRA retirement plan, performance bonuses, and more.\r\nSystems Definition is an Equal Employment Employer.
