{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"b45e874db5109fee90b72ea9","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b45e874db5109fee90b72ea9","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b45e874db5109fee90b72ea9","title":"Data Architect / Data Manager","description":"Job Title: Data Architect / Data Manager\nLocation: Suitland, MD, Hybrid ~ up to 3 days in-office per month and 10-15% travel outside of the Washington, DC metropolitan area\nClearance Required: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance\n\nDescription (scope of work)\nIBSS is seeking a Data Architect / Data Manager to provide expertise for the development of a data repository, especially in database design, data formats and tagging, metadata management, and cost-effective access, ingest, storage, and retrieval protocols for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Office of Space Commerce (OSC).\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nWork with OSC staff and System Integrator contractor staff in the development of data architecture.\nProvide technical program support to include, but not limited to, stakeholder engagement, data management, and reporting.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, both technical and nontechnical.\nMajor team player, collaborator, role model, and mentor other team members\nPassion to exceed expectations and constantly push the envelope.\nDemonstrated skills of technical rigor and data-driven decision-making.\n\nRequired Skills /Education/ Certifications & Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in engineering, or related scientific discipline preferred.\nExpert knowledge of Data Services\nSolid understanding of Product development in relation to Data Architecture and Requirements Gathering.\nExperience in data formats and tagging, metadata management, and access, ingest, storage, and retrieval protocols.\nSolid working knowledge of Data Modeling, Database design.\nPrevious experience with data storage tools - Postgresql, Mongo, S3\nExperience with Agile development is required.\nProvide technical program support to include, but not limited to, stakeholder engagement, data management, and reporting.\nPrevious experience designing Data Lake Solutions in AWS / Cloud\nAbility to work independently and with a team\nNiFi, Spring, Docker Containers, Kubernetes experience\nUnderstanding the following languages and software: C++, Java, Microsoft product suite.\nDevOps experience\nDesired, but not Mandatory, Skills:\nMaster's degree in space science, engineering, or related scientific disciplineOrganizational experience with one or more of the following: DoD (USSF, USAF, USN, USA), FAA, NASA, DoC, NESDIS, NOAA.\nExperience with Space Object Catalog and Orbital Dynamics\nKnowledge of Satellite Ephemeris and Conjunction Data Message Generation\nCurrent or previous security clearance/ background investigation preferred\n\nAbout IBSS Corp.\nSince 1992, IBSS, a woman-owned small business, has provided transformational consulting services to the Federal defense, civilian, and commercial sectors.
