Job Title:General LaborerMaterials Handling Location:Urbandale IA Pay:$17-18 / hour (DOE) Schedule:Full-Time | Day Shift 6:00am Start (Hours may vary based on workload)Job Summary: We are seeking dependable General Laborers to support daily operations for a growing materials company. This role involves loading and unloading materials, assisting with deliveries, traveling to job sites in company vehicles, and maintaining warehouse organization. This is a hands-on position suited for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities: Load and unload materials from trucks safely and efficiently Assist with deliveries by riding along in company vehicles to various job sites Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, materials, and work areas Stage materials for outgoing shipments and incoming deliveries Follow all safety procedures and guidelines on-site and in the warehouse Assist with general warehouse duties as needed Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operationsQualifications: Previous general labor, warehouse, or materials handling experience preferred Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently throughout the day Comfortable working both in a warehouse and outdoor job site environments Valid drivers license preferred (not required unless driving is involved) Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a teamWork Environment: Warehouse and job site settings Exposure to varying weather conditions when working outdoors Physically active role requiring standing, lifting, bending, and walking throughout the shiftAdditional Tasks:* Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment. * Sort cargo before loading and unloading. * Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information. * Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. * Stack cargo in locations, such as transit sheds or in holds of ships as directed, using pallets or cargo boards.#IND1
