Founded in 1993, MTSI today has employees at over 20 offices and field sites worldwide.\n\nFor more information about MTSI, please visit www.mtsi-va.com.\nResponsibilities:\nPosition Duties:\n\nParticipates in the development construct for operations a new simulation/test organization\no Ability to understand air vehicle mission system architecture, design, subsystems integration and mission systems avionics.\no Assist the customer with organizational leadership\no Deﬁne initial simulation/test processes and procedures\no Assist the customer with deﬁning operations department roles and responsibilities training programs and department policy\n\nParticipates in simulation event planning process\no Reads and understands customer requirements documents (test plans, training plans, etc.)\no Build a detailed understanding and knowledge of Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) capabilities and limitations, and use that knowledge to advise DT and OT organizations to optimize their use of the JSE\no Translates customer requirements into requirements for simulation scenarios\no Assists in writing test/training support plans and other execution materials\n\nParticipates with simulation scenario development\no Becomes an expert on one or more systems that support simulation execution (NGTS, DIADS, etc.)\no Programs simulation area, entities, and environmental conditions to create new simulation scenarios to meet customer requirements\no Develop, assist integration and implement threat conﬁgurations, system under test (SUT) conﬁgurations and weapons conﬁgurations\n\nParticipates in simulation event readiness reviews\no Presents support documentation and scenario development status\no Receives and executes feedback from review participants\n\nControl Room Operation\no Gains and maintains control room qualiﬁcations based on organizational standards\no Participates in simulation event brieﬁngs as required by simulation event leaders\no Performs real time simulation equipment/software troubleshooting to correct issues as they arise during simulation events\no Attends and participates in simulation event debrief sessions\n\nExecutes data analysis and development of reporting products for customers\no Creates data requests per organization standards. Delivers these data requests to data management personnel\no Processes, conditions, or analyzes raw simulation data per test/training support plans and/or associated data analysis plans\no Support and assist in developing test planning, test conduct, test processes, test reports, operations procedures and data deliverables\nQualifications:\nRequired Qualiﬁcations\n\nMinimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering discipline\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nDesired qualiﬁcations\n\nMinimum of 5 years’ experience in ﬂight test (operations engineer, test conductor/director, or discipline engineer)\nExperience using Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) or Digital Integrated Air Defense System (DIADS) simulator software.\nRecent 4th/5th gen ﬁghter mission systems and tactics experience and recent operational or developmental test experience\n\nEducational Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program\n\nTravel Requirements\nUp to 20% travel may be required.\n\nClearance Requirements\nActive Secret security clearance granted within the last six years, with the ability to gain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility desired.\n\nU.S. Citizenship is required.\n\nThe pay range for this position in California is $110,000/year to $185,000/year; however, base pay oﬀered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
