This position provides second level support for our National Airspace System Common Reference team to meet future needs of our FAA customer. Qualified candidates will be highly motivated with Java, Linux, or Openshift backgrounds.\n\nEssential Job Functions:\nDevelop and maintain applications using:\nJava\nOpenshift\nKubernetes\nOpenshift administration\nSystem configuration, such as Elastic Search, Kibana, Grafana Dashboard in Linux environment.\nMaintain Ansible and shell scripts.\nMaintain code base and support continuous integration using Git/Gitlab.\nSecond level support for deployment and field issues.\nDetail oriented in documentation and motivated in learning.\nLimited travel.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\n\nRequired:\nExperience supporting Second Level Engineering on NAS systems.\nExperience with SLE System Support Directives (SSD) development, test and deployment processes.\nExperience supporting SWIM Capabilities in the NAS.\nExperience in Java development or object-oriented programming.\nAble to support application configurations in Linux environments.\n\nPreferred:\nExperience with Ansible, Linux Admin (RHEL8), Selinux.\nExperience with Kubernetes and Docker.\nElastic Search, Kibana, Grafana, or ELK.\nMessaging: Pubsub message system, such as Kafka or JMS Message queue or Active MQ.\n\nEducation:\nBachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and (12) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field or\nMaster’s degree and (9) years related work experience in a computer science or math field.\n\nAdditionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required.
