CALSTART provides scientific, technical and policy support for regulatory development and clean technology and infrastructure acceleration.\n\nAbout The Role\nWe are looking for a Zero Emission Fleet Advisor to join our Trucks and Off-road Team in support of WAZIP and the Northwest Seaport Alliance in the greater Puget Sound area of Washington state. The Fleet Advisor will provide case support and concierge services to participating fleets interested in transitioning to zero-emission vehicles. You will support and interact with medium- and heavy-duty fleets throughout the greater Seattle-Tacoma Metropolitan area, as well as the state of Washington, who are looking to learn more about potential pathways and resources that aid a fleet in its transition to zero-emission technologies. This role will also attend in-person and virtual outreach events quarterly to educate and recruit fleets into the program. You will provide outreach, administrative, and technical support, and interact with related staff at CALSTART and external stakeholders such as Washington trucking fleets, dealers, non-profits, government agencies, and OEMs as needed.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nAssist the fleet engagement team with administrative tasks, such as data entry, scheduling client follow-ups, and monitoring the fleet support inbox.\nSupport medium- and heavy-duty trucking fleets in their transition to zero-emission technology.\nHelp connect fleets with the appropriate stakeholders and move them through the WAZIP Technical Assistance process.\nLead the development of accessible and targeted resources for Washington state.\nAssist drayage truck drivers serving the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma in understanding the zero-emission vehicle landscape .\nSupport community-based organizations with outreach and technical assistance to fleets in their respective communities, with occasional travel to community and industry events within Washington, particularly in the greater Seattle-Tacoma area.\nSupport project management tasks for a portfolio of Washington fleets and follow up on key project deliverables for each specific case.\nQualifications\n2+ years of experience in customer service, sales, or client relations.\nExperience working in logistics, transportation, nonprofit administration, community engagement, or government relations.\nExperience in customer database entry and management.\nKnowledge of effective customer service tactics and Salesforce data entry.\nBasic understanding of or interest in the zero-emission vehicle landscape.\nCase management experience.\nExperience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.\nAbility to use digital tools in support of fleet operational questions.\nAbility to work independently and solve problems with limited supervision.\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience working directly with public funders or government programs.\nFamiliarity with clean transportation, sustainability initiatives, or zero-emission technologies.\nUnderstanding of grant structures, incentive programs, or public sector workflows.\nCALSTART values transparency and strives to provide as much information regarding compensation as possible. The complete salary range for this role is $29-$35/hr.
