{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"b41c099c3cfec89063b0ce2d","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b41c099c3cfec89063b0ce2d","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b41c099c3cfec89063b0ce2d","title":"Training Instructor","description":"SUMMARY\n\nThe Trainer will conduct training for all E3 Environmental personnel in OSHA and other company required training.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\n\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:\n\nPrepare and deliver E3 training courses; including but not limited to, Hazmat Technician courses (40-Hour initial, Refresher Training), Rope/Industrial/Confined Space Rescue, First Aid/CPR/AED training, Industrial Firefighting, Supervisor Training (leadership-management training), Hazmat Transportation Specialist, and Incident Management (NIMS).\nDeliver classroom instruction (lectures), proctor tests, conduct outside drill activities and scenarios, preparation of safe drill work areas (confined space rescue, hazmat, incipient fire training, etc.), perform respirator fit testing on company personnel, prepare and maintain all training equipment to be used (rope washing, filling SCBAs, etc.) and returning all equipment to a ready condition as needed.\nDevelop and maintain complete Lesson Plan Outlines (LPO), Power Point presentations, and handouts for all assigned classes.\nOperate a variety of equipment including but not limited to heavy equipment, fire pumps, Tella-Handler, and forklift, man lift etc.\nBe competent in the use of various types of response equipment including breathing apparatus (SCBA & SABA), environmental monitoring devices, air compressors and cascade systems, transfer pumps, portable extinguishers, ventilation equipment, fire hose and nozzles, rope rescue equipment, ladders, equipment trailers, grounding, bonding and flaring equipment, plugging and patching equipment, and communication equipment.\nBe proficient in the use of Word, Power Point and Excel computer programs, televisions, digital & single lens reflex cameras, multi-media projectors, and computers for course deliveries.\n\nREQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS\n\nCOMPETENCIES\n\nCommunication Proficiency\nJudgement & Decision Making\nEthical Conduct\nTechnical Capacity\nThoroughness\nTime Management\nMaterial Resource Management\nComputer Proficiency\n\nPREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nAt least 5 years of experience as an instructor in a related industry.\nKnowledge of materials, methods, equipment & tools involved in remediation services and chemical services.\nKnowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.\nExcellent oral communication skills.\nProblem solving and analytical skills.\nTime Management.\nOrganizational Skills.\n\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS & DEMANDS\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY\n\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\n\nPOSITION TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK\n\nThis is a full-time position.
