and adult education and college preparationAbout the RoleThe Company is seeking a Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Executive Director, Foundation to lead and oversee fundraising, advancement programs, and marketing and communications initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening relationships with both external and internal constituents, including the College's President, Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, students, and various external entities. This role involves serving as a key strategic advisor, providing leadership to staff, and working closely with the President on external relations. The VPIA will also be tasked with identifying philanthropic support for strategic goals, creating and implementing fundraising plans, and ensuring the College's image is enhanced through effective marketing strategies.Applicants must have a Master's degree in a related area, a minimum of 5 years' experience in fundraising, and a proven track record in cultivating and soliciting private support. The role requires excellent management skills, expertise in planned giving, and a strong understanding of the local and regional community. Experience in marketing and public relations, as well as a passion for the mission of a community college, are essential. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of the external environment's impact on academia, and experience working with Foundation boards or non-profits. Preferred qualifications include prior work experience in higher education and knowledge of Raiser’s Edge software.
