Our workforce is among the most diverse in the US: Montefiore associates speak 60+ languages.The Agile Program Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating multiple cross-functional Agile teams within a defined business or technology pillar. This role ensures strategic alignment, cross-team delivery coordination, and operational efficiency—focusing on value delivery, planning, and Agile governance.Acting as a bridge between leadership and delivery teams, the Agile Program Manager works closely with Portfolio Manager, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to manage dependencies, monitor program performance, and resolve risks and blockers that impede delivery outcomes.ResponsibilitiesLead Agile program planning, execution, and reporting across multiple cross-functional teamsMonitor program budget, capacity, risks, and performance metrics to ensure successful deliveryFacilitate communication between teams and proactively resolve cross-team impedimentsTrack and report on key program metrics (e.g., OKRs, delivery milestones, value delivery)Champion Agile ways of working and continuous improvement across teamsSupport Agile ceremonies, retrospectives, and governance reportingProvide regular updates and escalations to senior leadership and stakeholdersConduct quarterly portfolio planning sessions working connecting with other portfolio for cross-functional efforts Collaborate with other Program Managers to manage interdependencies and shared resourcesGuide teams through Agile best practices without being framework-prescriptiveSkillsAgile program management and cross-team coordinationBudget oversight and resource planning in Agile settingsRisk and issue management at scaleFacilitation and conflict resolution across delivery teamsAgile metrics and value-driven performance trackingCommunication and reporting to senior stakeholdersEnterprise architecture and technical delivery awarenessDemand management and capacity balancingChange management and continuous improvement leadershipCollaboration with Product, Technology, and Business teamsAbility to think end-end and understand the big pictureInfluence at various levels of the organizational heirachyMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or comparable experience5+ years of experience managing programs in Agile delivery environmentsStrong knowledge of Agile principles, delivery methods, and metricsExperience in large enterprise settings with matrixed teams and complex dependenciesProven track record of managing cross-functional initiatives with senior visibilityExperience with Strategic Portfolio Management tools (ServiceNow)Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g., Jira)Preferred QualificationsExperience in healthcare, finance, or other regulated industriesExperience with value stream mapping and optimizationExperience with Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications (e.g., CSP-SM, PMI-ACP, ICP-APM)Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)Exposure to both product-based and project-based funding models#SF-DICE-MITMontefiore Health System, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
