This is the position for you.\r\nSupervises paint department operations; ensures efficient completion of jobs through use of computer applications. Plans and directs the work of shipping/receiving and paint employees ensuring finished parts meet customer packaging requirements.\r\nEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:\r\nHelps maintain job time keeping in manufacturing software and entering and managing barcode information.\r\nWorks with Paint Manager and Paint Lead to create daily work schedules.\r\nMakes sure all safety procedures are being followed and paint department employees are working safely.\r\nEnsures that employees are following instructions in paint line automation system. Maintains and updates system as needed.\r\nMonitors consumables levels to assure efficiency.\r\nMonitors daily production and system operations and reports information to Paint Supervisor and Paint Manager.\r\nResponsible for meeting department and company productivity and quality goals.\r\nAssists Paint Manager with other duties, as needed.\r\nHelps train and mentor new employees and existing employees when advancing them within the department.\r\nMeets all yearly company and department goals.\r\nCome up with CI improvement ideas every year and promote CI ideas within the department.\r\nEnsures packaging meets E.K. Machine standards as well as customers packaging specifications.\r\nSupervisory responsibilities\r\nCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.\r\nDevelops Paint Department staff, mentor, and provide training.\r\nMotivates Paint Department staff, individually and as a group.\r\nUnderstands and supports cross-training opportunities.\r\nEstablishes an effective team.\r\nEnsures visual system is being used and updated as needed.\r\nQualifications\r\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos, as well as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write correspondence.\r\nMathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\r\nReasoning ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\r\nPhysical demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
