Java Developer will contribute across the full application lifecycle, from development through testing and enhancements.Most Important ResponsibilitiesDevelop, design, and support scalable applications using modern Java-based full-stack technologies. Develop and maintain complex Stored Procedures using IBM DB2.Participate in code reviews, testing efforts, and continuous integration processes.Manage code through Git and track work through Agile tools such as Jira.Analytics & Rating Platform Support – build and enhance applications that support planning, analytics, and risk-based rating processes. Enhance and support model-driven applications used for pricing and rating logic. Develop and maintain applications and services that support Planning Analytics & Risk Management processes (scoring).Implement and maintain pricing model applications, with core logic existing within DB2 Stored Procedures. Partner with Product, Actuarial, and Rating teams to interpret rating requirements and convert them into technical specifications.Practice accuracy and consistency of rating data used across policy administration platforms. Support Planning Analytics & Risk Management-related data integration, including ingestion and delivery of rating inputs and outputs across systems and services. Detect and fix issues related to rating calculations, configuration deployments, rule changes, and data synchronization.Participate in unit testing and validation of rating logic, data, and configurations prior to model updates or releases. What you can bring to the table to impact this role, team, and organization:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field. Strong programming/software development experience in Java.Strong experience and knowledge of complex stored procedures, preferably DB2. Familiarity with Git workflows for version control.Jira experience for task management and sprint planning.Understanding of software architecture principles.
