Self-starters who can operate unsupervised with minimal direction will thrive.Responsibilities\r\nDesigning database architecture solutions\r\nDeveloping and implementing databases\r\nAnalyzing and maintaining operational databases\r\nAdding new features to operational systems\r\nTesting with real mission data\r\nProviding support to front-line customer facilities\r\nStaying ahead on the latest technologies, tools, and methodologiesQualifications\r\nActive TS/SCI (Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information) clearance\r\nBachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field\r\nMinimum 10 years of experience in database engineering, database administration, data management, or software development supporting an engineering-related domain\r\nDemonstrated experience deploying, administering, managing, and scaling enterprise-level PostgreSQL database systems in Linux environments\r\nProficient in SQL, Python, and shell scripting in Linux\r\nExperience with PostgreSQL database tuning, backup, recovery, and fail-over concepts at enterprise scale\r\nDemonstrated experience with large data management, data pipelines, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts\r\nHands-on enterprise experience with one or more additional RDBMS (Relational Database Management System) or NoSQL platforms such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, Citus Data, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Couchbase, Cassandra, or Redis\r\nDemonstrated ability to design software systems that meet functionality, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirementsRequired Skills\r\nSecurity+ certification\r\nDevOps and Cloud computing experience (GitLab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP)\r\nSpatial database solutions supporting GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software such as QGIS, PostGIS, GeoServer, and ArcGIS\r\nExperience with Python, C++, Golang, Rust, or Java\r\nDashboard development with Grafana and/or Kibana\r\nImplementing and managing RDBMS databases using SAN (Storage Area Network) solutions such as Pure Storage, NetApp, or EMC\r\nFamiliarity with frontend web development using Vue, React, and/or Angular\r\nModern software engineering practices for testability and readability\r\nAbility to mentor other engineers and provide technical advice to project leadersPay range and compensation package\r\n$167,000 to $205,000 base salary (final offer set based on experience, location, and contractual requirements).
