Industrial Field Service Technician
Position Summary:As an Industrial Maintenance Field Technician, you will leverage your expertise to ensure our customer where you are posted remains satisfied by performing planned maintenance and addressing service calls in a timely and professional manner. Your role will involve the maintenance and repair of conveyor systems, prioritizing service calls. You'll handle production support needs during their production shift.Primary Responsibilities:Promote a safe working environment by following all safety proceduresComplete planned maintenance routines with proper documentationTroubleshoot mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment (MHE) which includes conveyor belts, VFDs, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.Maintain a professional manner in front of the customer to guarantee a professional image for our company.Preview calendar, and Job tickets assigned by office in advance before the day of the assignment.Identify what is needed for the job, and make sure you are prepared for the assignment.Communicate back to the office any questions you may have to be prepared for the assignment.Accept new duties and responsibilities when assigned.Work well with other on-site technicians and subcontractors.Perform walk through inspection reporting anything vital on a work-order and email. Turn in customer signed work-orders daily accounting for labor and travel between arriving at the first site and leaving the last. Responsible for maintaining spare parts inventory onsite. Keeping an accurate inventory listDemonstrate superior communication skillsExperience and Education:High School diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with a strong focus on automated conveyor systemsProficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressureBasic computer knowledge with Microsoft Excel, Wood, Outlook and internetBasic math skills and reasoning ability requiredTechnical certification or associate's degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field; Hytrol knowledge a plus2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical field as a maintenance technicianCertifications and License: Valid Driver’s LicenseSkills Required:Strong written and oral communication skills are requiredMechanical aptitude
