The Manager also promotes continuous improvement through process optimization, evaluation of emerging technologies, and implementation of initiatives that enhance efficiency, consistency, and program performance.\r\nThis position reports directly to the Senior Manager, RCES Engineering and Programs.\r\nResponsibilities/You Will:\r\n\r\n\r\nLead the development, implementation, and continuous update of the Utility Division's Capital Improvement (CIP) and Planned Work (PW) Programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, regulatory requirements, and projected growth.\r\n\r\n\r\nEvaluate system capacity, infrastructure conditions, and operational constraints to identify and prioritize capital projects.\r\n\r\n\r\nCollaborate with engineering, operations, finance, and planning teams to develop project scopes, schedules, and funding strategies.\r\n\r\n\r\nOversee the intake, review, and coordination of Utility Service Requests, ensuring timely responses and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.\r\n\r\n\r\nManage the utility permitting process, ensuring all work within district utility service areas complies with district standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.\r\n\r\n\r\nEstablish and maintain program tracking tools, metrics, and reporting systems to monitor CIP and PW progress.\r\n\r\n\r\nIdentify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices across program development functions.\r\n\r\n\r\nProvide leadership, guidance, and oversight to assigned staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\r\n\r\n\r\nPrepare and present reports, recommendations, and program updates to senior leadership.\r\n\r\n\r\nBasic Qualifications/You will have:\r\n\r\n\r\n8 + years' experience working in an architecture/engineering multi-discipline, technical, team environment.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience partnering with multiple lines of business clients and customers.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience balancing priorities, personnel, and partner expectations in a reactive environment, while maintaining a professional image, composure, and overall situational awareness.\r\n\r\n\r\nKnowledge and competence in safety procedures and protocols.\r\n\r\n\r\nProficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite of applications and familiarity with Autodesk Revit, BIM360 applications and Smartsheet.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience communicating sophisticated issues to non-technical peers and to executives.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience with team building and mentorship.\r\n\r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\n\r\n\r\nFive (5) years of experience leading project or organizational teams consisting of salaried direct reports.\r\n\r\n\r\nProfessional Engineering License (PE) in the State of Florida or in a state with reciprocity to Florida.\r\n\r\n\r\nEducation\r\n\r\n\r\nBachelor's degree in engineering or a related degree is required.\r\n\r\n\r\nMaster's degree in engineering, Engineering Management, or MBA is preferred.\r\n\r\n\r\nAdditional Information\r\nBenefits and Perks: Disney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life.
