{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"b3da85cf079d08bb59d503ff","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b3da85cf079d08bb59d503ff","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b3da85cf079d08bb59d503ff","title":"Sr. Structural Designer-Trusses","description":"About the job\nThe Senior Design Technician Specialist will complete routine truss designs, including review and training of others.\nDesired Skills and Experience\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nAssists in coordinating the work and schedule of support staff.\nProvide training and mentoring as needed.\nDuties/Responsibilities\nDesign trusses without layouts from info provided by the client.\nDesign complex layouts (or any layout project) from info provided by the client.\nInteract with customers to solve issues and resolve questions about the designs.\nWorks independently on design projects and assignments\nCollaborate with the design team to keep design and layout turnaround quick and efficient.\nDesign target number of trusses per day on average either in individual trusses or layout designs.\nReport any ongoing or immediate issues to management.\nAssures stability, deflection, and load carries in a manner that will meet or surpass codes associated with the project or location.\nProvide customer support, as needed.\nReview the new versions of truss and layout programs for bugs and software improvement ideas.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nRequired Skills/Abilities\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExtensive technical knowledge of component manufacturing operations and design.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.\nProficiency with/ability to learn proprietary component manufacturing design software suit.\nProficiency with/ability to learn proprietary company management software.\nPossess a Warrior's Spirit and a Servant's Heart\nEducation And Experience\nBachelor's degree is preferred.\nAt least five years of related experience is required.\nPhysical Requirements\nProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.\nTravel as required.\nJob Type: Full-time\nPay: $65,000.00 -
