{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"b3d84a3e34dfe04ec2fffbdc","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b3d84a3e34dfe04ec2fffbdc","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b3d84a3e34dfe04ec2fffbdc","title":"Mechanical Engineer","description":"FutureFuel Chemical Company in Batesville, Arkansas, is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for our Project Engineering Department.\n\nAbout The Position\nThe Project Engineering Group includes Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and Technologists who work together to contribute to the success of the company by providing engineering support to Manufacturing, Utilities, and Maintenance.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProviding technical assistance, process improvement, and manufacturing support for Manufacturing, Utilities, and Maintenance\n\nManaging the Pressure Vessel program including calculating and selecting relief devices, conservation vents, flame arrestors, rupture disks, maintaining the pressure vessel database, coordinating with state agencies for inspections and licensing, and providing input to the plant Process Safety Review Committee and other project engineers on safe implementation of engineering design criteria.\n\nSolving mechanical engineering problems and distinguishing between the relative merits of different plans and designs.\n\nOccasional civil and structural design.\n\nTroubleshooting and identifying root causes of mechanical problems.\n\nWorking with Chemical Manufacturing, Utilities, and Maintenance to provide mechanical engineering support for continued production.\n\nKnowledge of materials of construction, heat exchangers, pumps, centrifuges, pressure relief devices, piping specifications, and other industrial equipment.\n\nWorking in teams or independently to increase production capacity, improve mechanical integrity, provide safer operations, or reduce energy requirements.\n\nApplying sound process economics analysis principles to determine and document project values.\n\nEvaluating and specifying new mechanical equipment.\n\nMaintaining awareness and ties to corporate engineering practices and engineering resources to help implement projects.\n\nAssisting with the definition and implementation of capital projects that will result in process improvements or increased capacity.\n\nManaging several projects simultaneously and regularly communicating progress to stakeholders.\n\nFollowing safety and quality procedures.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBS degree in mechanical engineering from a curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology or an equivalent; an equivalent may consist of a degree in mechanical engineering from a non-accredited curriculum which contains similar courses.
