Department: Human ResourcesWork Location: 72nd and AmesEmployment Status: Full-TimePay Range: $19.00 per hourJob SummaryThe primary role of the Human Resources Assistant is the day-to-day administration of company policies and procedures for recruiting, onboarding, employee files and databases, benefits, personnel policies, and safety programs.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesWelcome new employees to the organization by meeting for onboarding paperwork, sending offer letters out, and conducting new hire orientation.Keep employee records up to date in HRIS by processing employee changes promptly.Maintain hard-copy and electronic personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.Answer employee questions and address employee concerns.Distribute performance reviews and ensure company compensation policies and grading structure are being followed.Responsible for I-9 file maintenance and compliance.Complete employment verifications & inquiries.Manage tuition reimbursement process.Respond to unemployment claims and represent Goodwill in appeal hearings.Compile required HR reports.Assist agency recruiting functions to include job postings, screening applicants, assisting managers through the hiring process, managing pre-employment processes, posting internal openings, attending job fairs, and interviewing as requested.Crosstrain into other areas of HR to serve as a backup for other Human Resource Team Members.Meet or exceed attendance expectations for this positionActively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants.Other duties as assigned.Individual Development & Interpersonal SkillsPersonally participate in ongoing professional growth, education, development, and support others in their efforts to develop.Must have excellent working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and interdepartmentallyGood organizational, time management, verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexibleORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENTEducate customers and the community about the mission and vision of the organization.Demonstrate the Goodwill core values through actions and words.Qualification RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
