This role involves the use of measurement tools, electronics troubleshooting, and computer operation. Key responsibilities include interpreting railroad documents to derive train speed information, reviewing and analyzing track measurement data for reporting, and operating hi-rail commercial motor vehicles. Additionally, the position involves vehicle maintenance for rail survey cars and hi-rail vehicles, along with regular housekeeping duties for safety and sanitation aboard survey vehicles. This position is based at ENSCO's customer sites and requires the incumbent to routinely travel to and work on-board railroad track inspection vehicles and maintain a professional demeanor as a representative of ENSCO.\nWork schedule - 3 weeks of continuous travel, followed by 1 week off.\nLive anywhere in the U.S. We fly you to work sites. We pay for flights, hotels, plus per diem.\nQualifications Required\nThis position requires the successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation. Qualified applicants must have resided in the United States for at least three (3) of the past five (5) years for this requirement.\nMinimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in the electrical, electromechanical, or mechanical field involving troubleshooting and problem resolution, or a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 1 year of experience.\nExperience with workplace safety programs.\nProficiency with computer applications such as MS Word; Excel; PowerPoint; and Outlook.\nExperience reading electrical or electronic schematics and wiring diagrams.\nExperience conducting equipment/machinery inspections (periodic maintenance inspections, preventive maintenance) and equipment upkeep.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Windows Operating System; transferring files on a network, copying, and pasting.\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\nProficiency with tape measure and similar measuring tools.\nFunctional knowledge of mathematics and fraction measurements.\nValid Driver's License and able to complete a Department of Transportation medical examination to acquire a Commercial Driver Medical Certification.\nMust be able to travel independently for business purposes, including but not limited to booking independent vehicle rental and hotel accommodations.\nExperience reading electrical or electronic schematics and wiring diagrams.\nQualifications Desired\nExperience with:\nRailroad Industry\nQuality management/assurance program\nHydraulics/pneumatics maintenance/troubleshooting\nProgrammable Logic Controllers (PLCs)\nPneumatic brake systems\nWelding & fabrication\nDiesel engine mechanics\nFamiliarity with 49 CFR parts 213, 214, 229 & 238\nSoldering and cable assembly\nCPR/First Aid certifications\nAptitude for proficiency with software applications aboard track measurement survey vehicles, including ENSCO's proprietary applications.\nValid Commercial Driver's License, CDL Class B or greater\nValid Passport\nRequired Certifications: None\nU.S. Citizenship Required: No\nSecurity Clearance Required: None\nEmployment Type: Regular Full-time\nBackground Check Type: 7 Year Pre-Employment\nDrug Screen Required: Pre-Employment Drug and Random Alcohol and Drug (FRA)\nPosition Contingent Upon Contract Award: No\n\nREAL ID Requirement\nThis position may require the ability to access to U.S. federal facilities.
