STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is the in-house engineering business line of Structural Group.\n\nSTRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Strengthening Division located in the Los Angles, California Market. If you are seeking a rewarding opportunity with a dynamic, diversified, and innovative company, this role may be for you.\n\nOur Strengthening Division utilizes the latest construction technologies to investigate, repair and strengthen concrete structures including buildings, bridges, parking facilities, and other structures within the commercial, industrial, energy and public markets. Our structural repair and strengthening technologies include fiber reinforced composites (FRP), post-tensioned reinforcement systems, concrete enlargements, and blast & ballistic mitigation systems. We deliver these value-added structural repair and retrofit solutions using state-of-the-art products and engineering support.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nReviewing project documents, survey reports and other data to support construction projects.\n\nDeveloping and participating in field investigations and condition assessments of structures.\n\nConducting structural analysis and developing structural repairs and strengthening concepts.\n\nDeveloping construction drawings and communicating details with clients, engineers, and construction crews.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor or master's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of experience in evaluating and designing concrete structures.\n\nExperience in design for gravity loads as well as design of lateral load resisting systems.\n\nGood understanding of Civil and Structural Codes including ACI 318, ACI 562, and ASCE 7.\n\nKnowledge of Seismic retrofits and utilization of ASCE 41.\n\nKnowledge of design of Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composite for Seismic upgrades.\n\nStrong writing and communication skills and ability to interact with clients, engineers, and construction crews.\n\nAbility to generate structural models using design software such as Ram, Adapt, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000 or similar.\n\nAbility to perform preliminary and detailed engineering calculations, coordinate with drafters and prepare technical submittal packages and reports.\n\nTeam and solution oriented with positive attitude.\n\nPE/SE registration required.\n\nAbility to mentor junior engineers.\n\nOur ideal candidate is an individual who can work effectively in a highly collaborative, team-based environment; can set goals and expectations and hold others accountable; approachable, empathetic and outgoing.\n\nSTRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is proud of a company culture that promotes 24/7 safety, quality, and collaborative teamwork environment.
