This role will require the supervision and mentoring of the Assistant Project Superintendent(s), Field Engineer(s), and laborers. Also required will be the supervision and technical management of all daily construction operations, oversight and management of all subcontractors, owner vendors and other construction related personnel.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nThe duties, responsibilities and attributes of the Project Superintendent include, but are not limited to:\n\nTechnical Skills\nCapable of being successful supervising a ground up project with a project budget range of $5M-$20m, under various delivery methods, diversity in market sectors and varying complexities\nAssist the Senior Project Superintendent or other assigned supervisors(s) when part of a large project team\nDevelop, maintain and enforce a project specific site logistics plan and temporary facilities\nDevelop, maintain and enforce a project specific site safety programs\nCoordinate and manage all material deliveries and subcontracts\nAssist the Project Manager in the development of all subcontractor specific scopes of work, which will be an exhibit to their subcontract\nProvides input to the Project Manager on field activities that have cost impacts in the field. Follows WEO procedures for documenting all change order and back charge related work\nDevelop, maintain and enforce the overall baseline schedule and weekly 8-week look ahead project specific schedules\nImplementation and management of all SWPPP measures and documentation\nObtain and maintain QSP certification, if required by the specific project you are overseeing\nPossess knowledge of all documents associated with the project including plans, specifications, prime contract, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings and submittals\nReads and understands subcontracts and the associated exhibits. Has the ability to enforce contractual obligations in the field\nStays up to date on changes to documents throughout the project and ensures proper implementation in the field\nProvide technical assistance to all members of the project team\nCoordinate all field inspections and testing\nManagement Skills\nAssist in providing pertinent field information that could affect the Monthly Reconciliation Report accuracy and forecasts\nDevelop, implement, and enforce the project-specific quality control program to include all subcontractors\nPrepare and maintain the projects P6 baseline schedule and all subsequent monthly updates\nInsert schedule delays / fragnets into master P6 schedule contemporaneously to properly document delays\nTimeliness of schedules being updated to prior meetings, i.e. OAC and Subcontractor meetings\nMonitor all job site control reporting measures\nVideo record / document all existing project conditions prior to any construction on site\nOversee, ensure staff are completing weekly progress photos to be properly labeled and filed on Box.Com\nOversee, ensure staff are completing and preparing meeting minutes for all weekly subcontractor meetings, pre-installation meetings, safety meetings, etc.\nCreate and issue all project specific Incident Reports\nSchedule and chair all JHA related meetings. Utilize the WEO safety department when applicable\nOversee and manage the daily coordination of all daily subcontractor activities\nDocument all actions dealing with actual or possible claims / legal action\nEnsure that all requirements of insurance, labor relations, and EEO are adhered to\nOversight and supervision of all WEO employed or 3rd party provided laborers\nPrepare and submit weekly time sheets pertaining to WEO specific labor force\nAssist the Project Manager in the development of the General Conditions budget\nUnderstands and enforces WEO and Cal-OSHA safety standards\nCollects man counts and daily reports for each subcontractor on site. Writes concise, comprehensive descriptions of each day’s work performed on site in WEO daily report\nCreate and manage completion and punch lists and ensure the timely completion of all punch lists and completion lists items\nResponsible for mentoring of field staff and conducting annual performance reviews\nMentor, develop skills and career paths of the Field Engineers and Assistant Project Superintendents\n\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\n\nPersonal Attributes\n\nEffective written and verbal language communication skills\nEffective time management and organization skills\nTakes initiative, strives for increased responsibility and has a desire to learn\nShows emotional maturity, punctuality and dependability Interpersonal Skills\nEstablish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all (client, design professionals, various WEO departments, WEO project team, inspectors, and subcontractors)\nMotivate and build teamwork/morale in the project team\nMentor, coach and train as necessary to help subordinates achieve their career objectives\nPromote WEO Corporate Values with the project team, client and subcontractors\nShow alignment with and promotes WEO Corporate Values\nQualifications:\nFour-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience in a related field. 5-10 minimum years of relevant project field experience, as a Field Engineer and Assistant Project Superintendent or equivalent with ability to manage projects $5m to $20m in size.\n\nProficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)\nProficiency in Microsoft Project or P6 Scheduling Software and Project Management Software, such as Prolog, Viewpoint, CMiC or equivalent applications.
