Learn more at wpengine.com.\n\nWe are looking for an Internal Communications Intern to join our team and support messaging for Product teams and across WP Engine. This is a part-time internship of approximately 20–30 hours per week. Candidates must be available to work during the first half of the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with additional availability on Wednesdays. Wednesday hours, as well as the remainder of the weekly schedule, can be flexible to accommodate a student’s school schedule.\n\nAs an Internal Communications Intern, you should have a passion for writing, storytelling, and learning how companies work from the inside. You’ll help gather information from teams across WP Engine and turn it into clear, engaging content that keeps our employees informed and connected.\n\nThis role is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in communications, journalism, writing, or storytelling who is curious, eager to learn, and willing to jump between different topics. You’ll support both our Product and Engineering teams, as well as broader corporate communications initiatives, gaining exposure to different areas of the business along the way.\n\nThe Day to Day\n\nSupport the coordination and execution of company town halls and other internal meetings\n\nGather information, materials, and content from speakers and stakeholders across the organization\n\nHelp create and format presentations for internal meetings and events\n\nSupport meeting technology and help ensure internal events run smoothly\n\nWrite, edit, and help produce internal newsletters and other employee communications\n\nCollaborate with teams across the organization to gather information and turn it into clear, engaging content\n\nHelp develop stories and content highlighting what’s happening across WP Engine\n\nSupport the development of internal web content and pages\n\nAssist with additional internal communications projects and initiatives as needed\n\nYour Expertise and Passion\n\nStrong writing, editing, and grammar skills\n\nA passion for storytelling and an interest in journalism, communications, or internal communications\n\nAbility to quickly learn about new topics\n\nCreative thinking and knack for turning complex information into easy-to-understand content\n\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and topics\n\nStrong communication and relationship-building skills with a willingness to collaborate across different teams\n\nComfortable learning and using new technology, presentation tools, and communication platforms\n\nAbility to take direction, incorporate feedback, and adapt as priorities change\n\nCuriosity about how different teams and functions work within an organization\n\nWriting, storytelling, presentation, or other relevant work samples are a plus\n\nHourly Compensation: Up to $28 per hour\n\nAt WP Engine, we strive to have the broadest possible view of diversity, going beyond visible differences to include the background, experiences, skills, and perspectives that make each person unique.
