Job SummaryThe Business Development Representative is responsible for developing and promoting business opportunities for the Company and developing business relationships with client decision makers. Represent the Company with professional, highly ethical interaction with clients and co-workers.Essential Functions Meet with clients to present Company capabilities and to understand client needs(opportunities), decision-making process, potential competitors, etc., with the principal objective of generating business opportunities that match Company capabilities. Develop professional business relationships with Industry professionals and decision-makers in the E&C Community, Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream Energy Industry Segments. Document and share with Company Senior Managers project status and upcoming activity with the above-referenced target client groups via acceptable channels and systems. Prepare and lead presentations to Clients/Potential Clients. Strategically secure RFI/Prequalification, RFQ/RFP opportunities that align with the Company's core competencies and business objectives. Participate in response/proposal development and submittal through coordination and communication both internally and with the client. Actively participate in Intra-Company Meetings, including Safety Leadership, Bid/No Bids, Proposal Kick-Off meetings, Bid Review, Beyond Zero Management Meeting, and in-company community volunteer initiatives. Communicate clearly, openly and effectively with co-workers. Execute as part of a Team to drive Company success. Participate in client relationship development, including entertainment (which can include evenings and some weekends), in conformance with client and Company guidelines. Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and policies (including the client’s) while promoting the Company’s safety culture. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.Education And Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in related field preferredTechnical Certifications in related construction fields considered as credit in lieu of, and in conjunction with, formal college educationMinimum of 2 years’ of related experienceProficient knowledge of energy industry including:Oil, Gas, ChemicalsRenewables and Clean EnergySkills/Key Competencies Working knowledge of applicable construction codes, policies, standards, and best practices. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and employees at all levels. Knowledge of all relevant local, state, and federal laws Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents such as scopes of work and project schedules. Exercise discretion and independent judgment when handling day-to-day information. Must be proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent time-management skills to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities. Ability to work cooperatively across all levels, delivering on commitments – results-oriented. Strong analytical skills required to understand and interpret data. Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams). Experience with Power BI is a plus. Experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM’s preferred. Ability to quickly learn the organization's systems. Must be able to work non-routine hours when necessary. Must have a valid, unexpired driver's license. Ability and willingness to travel as required for out-of-town travel assignments.Physical Requirements Will work in an office and job site setting (indoors/outdoors). Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity. Constantly perform repeating motions that may include feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingers. Frequently communicate with other members of the team.
