This role centers on design/development of automated test equipment/fixtures and execution of test procedures for product qualification. A working knowledge of Python (or equivalent) for test equipment control and automation will be required. You will play a critical role in validating designs from prototype through production.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, qualify, and operate test equipment for electrical power systemsCreate and build custom test fixtures, interfaces, and hardware setups to support repeatable and efficient testingDevelop Python-based test scripts and automation frameworks for data acquisition, control, and reportingCreate and execute detailed test procedures for product qualification and acceptanceConduct test data analysis and compile test reports that support conclusionsEvaluate test failures and identify root causes; drive corrective actions with design teamsPrepare supporting technical documentation: drawings, schematics, work instructions, reports, presentations etc.Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and safety requirementsCollaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to define test requirements and acceptance criteriaDocument engineering changes to maintain design configuration traceabilitySupport production testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of test processes and equipmentParticipate in project planning, scheduling, and reportingQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, Master’s preferred3+ years of professional experience is desired although various alternative means of experience that demonstrate acquired skills will be consideredDemonstrated leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teamsExperience with power system test equipment design and automated control software development (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, C#, or similar)Experience with embedded control system design (MCU IDEs, C/C++, etc.)Strong understanding of circuit design, PCB layout, and electronic control systemsProficiency in electrical design software (e.g., Altium, KiCad, or similar)Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsMust be U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearancePreferred SkillsExperience working with the Department of DefenseExperience in preparing technical documentation for military weapon systemsActive Secret security clearanceWhat We OfferEmployee ownership and shared success opportunitiesCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits packageProfessional development, mentorship, and advancement opportunitiesCollaborative, hands-on engineering environmentOpportunities to work on innovative and impactful productsWhy Join Us?As an employee-owner, your work has a direct impact on both the products we build and the future of the company.
