Through student organizations, leadership programs, and campus events, SILC connects students with opportunities to lead, grow, and get involved.The Student Involvement and Leadership Center Involvement Ambassador position provides vital front desk and administrative support for the SILC team and in our student organization co-working space. They are often the first impression a student, staff, alumnus or community member has of our office.Department-Specific Responsibilities Helps other students with registered student organization management which can include how to use beINvolved and how to market their organization's events. Becomes knowledgeable about the resources and opportunities for students to get involved through the programs and resources of the Student Involvement and Leadership Center. Helps students navigate involvement opportunities, as well as helps student organizations navigate basic event planning processes and policies as well as the resources available for student organizations like training and leadership opportunities. In addition to serving as the front-line resource for students and student organizations, this position will assist with facilities management and administrative tasks like answering phone calls, overseeing the departmental email account, and coordinating the delivery of mail to the department and student organizations. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
