Responsibilities range from pre-construction project review, technical assistance with regards to quality issues involving submittals and RFI's, quality control management and compliance in the region, technical assistance with regards to project quality issues, and coordination and communication with project teams and GC's.Specific Responsibilities:Contract/Scope/Specification review and interpretationPre-construction specification reviewPre-construction mix design review in conjunction with Corporate Quality Director, Materials specialists and suppliersProject safety complianceRegional project quality compliancePeriodic project visits and quality compliance reviewsWork with project teams to develop solutions to quality issuesCoordination with GC/Owner when necessaryCoordination with CSI Operations manager regarding manpower/resourcesSupport and manage project quality staff within assigned regionAbility to identify, assimilate and comprehend the critical elements of a situation to extract and interpret implications of courses of actions to attend to details of a problem.Effectiveness in working with a team, motivating and developing subordinates, improving work methods and results, encouraging and supporting suggestions for work improvements, etc.Operates within the organization's formal and informal structures, builds allies and relationships across departments, uses allies to build consensus and create results, is appropriately diplomatic, understands others' roles and perspectives, can sell projects and ideas across the organization.Anticipates and resolves conflicts, turns team diversity into an advantage, uses unique team talents, defines processes and goals, works for consensus.Establishes project goals, milestones, and procedures, defines roles and responsibilities, acquires project resources, coordinates projects throughout company, monitors project progress, and manages multiple projects.Education/Experience/Attributes/Requirements5+ years of experience with concrete construction.Bachelors degree in Construction management, Engineering or other construction related field recommended.Strong knowledge of construction principles/practices requiredStrong technical knowledge of concrete production, testing and placement practices.Strong knowledge of applicable codes (ACI, PCI, TCA)Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individualsExperience leading successful project teams, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entitiesEnergetic and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgencyHighly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment.Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding.Points of Pride/Our Rankings8 Top 20 Firms in Concrete102 Top 600 Specialty Contractors26 Midwest Specialty Contractors3 Midwest Top Specialty Contractors by Sector - Missouri2 Midwest Top Specialty Contactors by Sector – ConcreteThe Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
