The PC Technical Support professional acts as a critical liaison between technology and users, ensuring seamless technology integration and support across the organization.\nThis is a 100% onsite position reporting to our Springfield, VA office.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or higher in Information Technology or related field preferred.\nProven experience in PC technical support or a similar role.\nStrong understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems.\nFamiliarity with common software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.\nBasic knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN.\nExcellent problem-solving and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCertifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent.\nExperience supporting remote users and using remote desktop tools.\nKnowledge of Active Directory and group policy management.\nFamiliarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira.\nExperience with hardware repair and replacement.\nResponsibilities:\nRespond promptly to user inquiries and technical issues via phone, email, or in-person support.\nDiagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems on desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.\nInstall, configure, and upgrade computer systems and software applications according to organizational standards.\nMaintain accurate records of support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.\nCollaborate with IT team members to escalate complex issues and contribute to continuous improvement of support processes.\nProvide guidance and training to users on system functionalities, security protocols, and best practices.\nPerform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, backups, and virus scans to ensure system integrity.\nSkills:\nThe required skills enable the PC Technical Support professional to efficiently diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users.
