The role involves building scalable AI platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality machine learning models and data-driven applications.\nWhat Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):\nDesign, develop, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models\nBuild and maintain scalable AI platforms and data pipelines\nPerform data acquisition, preprocessing, and feature engineering\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and business stakeholders\nOptimize and monitor model performance in production environments\nSupport MLOps processes including model deployment, versioning, and lifecycle management\nWork with large datasets using big data technologies\n\nWhat You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):\n5–7 years of experience in AI/ML development or related field\nStrong programming skills in Python (required); experience with R, Java, or C is a plus\nDeep understanding of machine learning concepts (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning)\nExperience with neural networks including CNNs and RNNs\nHands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and scikit-learn\nStrong data analysis skills including data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering\nExperience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases\nFamiliarity with big data tools such as Apache Spark and OpenSearch\nSolid foundation in mathematics and statistics (linear algebra, calculus, probability)\nMust be willing to work onsite 4–5 days per week in Herndon, VA\nMust be open to converting to a full-time employee in November 2026\nWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
