In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving all plumbing issues across the Chelsea Piers property. This role reports to the Facilities Site Engineer. Your primary work location will be at our flagship Chelsea location, but there may be occasional work at our other NYC facilities.As the Plumber, you will be expected to:Follow all safety guidelines and ensure compliance with plumbing codesTroubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues across the property, including leaks, clogs, and system failuresInstall, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipmentPerform routine inspections of plumbing infrastructure to ensure proper functioningPerform routine inspections and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems across the property.Collaborate with the team to address complex plumbing challengesSubmit accurate work orders and reports using a mobile appCommunicate effectively with staff, coworkers, and vendorsMaintain professionalism and high standards of workmanshipThis is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities. This can change at any time at the discretion of your supervisor.QualificationsYou have at least 5 years of experience in maintenance or construction environments. You also have:Valid NYS driver's licenseFDNY S-12 and S-13 Certificates of Fitness (or willingness to obtain)OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 certifications (or willingness to obtain)Certification for ladder, scissor lift, and scaffolding safety (or willingness to obtain)Flexible availability, including occasional holidays, weekends, and overnight workStrong communication and problem-solving skillsThis position is based at Chelsea Piers in New York, New YorkChelsea Piers is an Equal Opportunity Employer
